Local Photographer doing a series on vintage motorcycles, he came by this morning and took pictures of a few on my cb750s. Here’s one of the SEI. It fired right up and after he left we went for a 50 mile rip. Nice ride, perfect, sunny, dry day....... The 6-6 Busso pipes just howl.

Pretty clever...... sunny day and he shot all the bikes in the shade behind our barn. Set up a bunch of lights, with huge umbrella reflectors. Took some pretty neat pics.

Took the Benelli out for a run today.before setting off, cranked the rear springs up to full/max preload. What a difference! I guess my 190lbs is more than what was planned for. Never “bottomed” and was very nice....... love this bike!

Got a call from the organizers of the Cobble Beach Concours today. After two years of Covid Cancellations they are scheduling to fire up the 2022 Event! I attended the last one with my 1970 Honda cb750K0. This years’ bike class is for “Italian Motorcycles”. Entries are by invitation only and I have one. I don’t typically attend shows, but this one is very cool. The Benelli will be off to it’s first Show!

Yes.... I put 400 miles on it last year and probably 8-900 since I put it back together a few years ago. It’s in very good shape, so I’ll do a few more “fairweather rides” this year and then give it a good going over before the show. The engine has never been out of the frame, but I did give it a lot of time when I built the fresh front end and did the rear brakes......

 I ported a Benelli 6 head about a year ago or so. Actually rebuilt the entire head with new guides, valves, springs etc. All the CB550 parts fit except the Benelli keepers which were different which required 550 keepers and retainers. The ports had a lot of extra material especially around the guide boss and port floors. I used oversize intake valves and bored the seats to 90% of the new intake valves. I am sure that head was worth 20 or 25 more horsepower by itself. Throw some cams in it and you'd probably get another 15 HP. The Megacycle cams for the Benelli are the same specs as the CB550 125-20.....that really is a 550 clone. ;D

Yep.... I often think of selling it. But, then I take it for a ride (or just sit and look at it) and the thought evaporates! J.
