Frisco chrome disc brake cover
« on: March 14, 2019, 06:59:40 AM »
This thing came with a bike I purchased (picture: https://imgur.com/a/Z2e73Je).  I wasn't sure what it was, luckily there were instructions for it.  I'm curious to see how it looks on the bike, anyone have any pictures of one installed?

Have never seen one of those on a CB.  You sure it is for your model bike??

Not too sure, the instructions don't specify a model.  I'm going to try and mock it up on the bike later today.

I bought a 1975 Kaw 900 Z1b last summer that had one of those installed along with some other rusty chrome custom goodies.

This one was very rough Steve with non-original engine, broken spark plugs,no title yada yada, pretty bad. Guy got it buried in a storage auction unit he bought. Even had a Vetter though not attached !  I flipped it over to a guy I was doing biz with this summer for a pretty fair profit.

what portion of the disc is it supposed to cover? that notch doesn't look big enough for the caliper. Is this just for the center of the disc?

I'll have to check.  I just know that it goes on the inside of the rotor.  It's possible that PO bought it and it didn't work so he just kept it boxed up, I don't know why else it wouldn't have been on the bike, although there's a lot of stuff that came with this bike that doesn't make much sense.

Sure looks like a sohc fork leg on the leaflet picture. But whatever is the design that's printed on the cover meant to be?
