See above -- only 1 eligible bike and that is Noddy's and he's the winner.

Hi Sam,

Hardly anyone is nominating bikes anymore.  I suspect they devote more time to Facebook and Instagram.   :(

When I looked at this build and realizing that it is the only one, I couldn't believe it was the only one. It has been quite awhile since I have been here, anywhere near regularly, but now I realize I am more out of touch, than I imagined. Comment was made, that maybe the reason there weren't any others, might be because of the quality of this one and I can see where this could be a possibility. I know, I have been a member here, since Dec of 2004 and of all of the nominations, over the years, this one REALLY stands out. And it's not to discredit the others, but this one IS so uniquely put together.

I don't think I have ever seen a time, when there weren't, at least 2, in the running (to my knowledge anyway).

Bill,

Noddy's bike was only recently eligible (completed).  Terry had a bike that was eligible but he sold it right before voting so it was no longer in his possession.

Nominations have been like pulling teeth in the last 2 years.  I have been begging and pleading for nominations and we event changed the rules to allow nominations to be open at all times.  Even still, we have had months where we only have 1 eligible bike.  I think that, overall, post counts are down on the forum as people are using other social media platforms more (especially Instagram where the potential audience is much larger.  Unfortunately, there's not as many bike being completed on the Projects board and hardly anyone nominating bikes.

If you feel the itch to nominate a candidate, please do so.

I was wondering what was going on. Over the years, I have had quite a few life changing events, that have kept me distracted and not being on here much at all. I hope that something happens, that will get things moving better, around here. This has been THE place to be, for so long and I never dreamed it would slow up so much. I know, from my own experiences, that things happen that get a person distracted. I, for one, will do my best, to do what I can, to help out. This place & the "Community" has "been there", for me, in My time of need. We All need to make an attempt, "To Give Back", to the SOHC4. And I am as guilty, if not more guilty, than some.

Hopefully, we can start off the New Year, w/Change.    ;)             And, Thank You, for cluing me in too.

Nodd78's 1972 CB750 Steampunk(ish) Bobber Thing is a very special build and well worth of winning,  its maker get the attention from other bikers, builders, restorers and all others.
Professional class photos too!!

There are no longer any vote buttons to check as before?

Terry is worth a special price for his very entertaining build threads he risk his life for !!

Hi All, thanks so much for the kind words, though it feels a bit like I Bradbury'd it (in true Aussie fashion though)...

Terry had a bike that was eligible but he sold it right before voting so it was no longer in his possession.

Bloody shame that... when I noticed he was eligible at the same time I was quite looking forward to a bit of healthy competition!  It was a complete coincidence I swear, but by god I had a good laugh...  ;D

Wow, to say this bike is a work of art is an understatement.  The craftmanship is above first class.  Everything just seems to gel together into a masterpiece.  I can't imagine how many hours it took to design and build this bike but the results speak for itself.
