Wiring question From a FNG
« on: March 19, 2019, 03:01:10 PM »
Hello guys, I'm new here, first post. I was a motorcycle mechanic for 15 years long ago. I started with a CL77 before the CB750 came out, and got out of motorcycles to work in commercial construction, which I did for another 15 years. I am currently in the car business and have taken to buying old bikes and doing a down to the frame rebuild, including splitting the cases and doing crank/rod bearings and new shift forks if necessary. New clutch, cables, tires, gauges, etc. You get the picture. It's become my hobby and I love it.

So, here's my question.  I took this bike apart so I should know the answer...but I don't. It's a 1975 CB750F. There is a small plastic box on the frame, on the downtubes, in front of the motor that has 2 holes for the wiring harness and something else. Inside the headlight is where all the wires plug together. It's like there is too much stuff to fit in the headlight so they have this little box to hide the rest. There is a branch of wires that comes from the main harness that obviously goes in there. The horn wires go in there.  Question is...what else goes in there? There are many other wires from the main harness that have nothing plugged into them. I found wiring diagrams on line but not the right one. I ordered a manual from Clymer but it hasn't arrived yet. Hopefully it has the right diagram. Any help out there?
