For those of you in the southeast PA area, the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles is hosting an exhibit of the Gyronaut X-1 on March 28. This vehicle set the Land Speed Record for motorcycles in 1996, which it held into the early 1970s. The first record, set in 1965, was at 212.689 MPH. Its fastest run was at 264.437 MPH in 1970, but this was not official as it crashed on the first of the two required runs at the salt flats! The vehicle has been restored and is on tour.
