I did some Harley heads with an air die grinder, with rear exhaust.

Bounced like crazy, I mean it did not feel like it, but when I used an electric Makita I think.. I could not believe how smooth it was.
The rear exhaust, I fixed that, put 28 inches of bicycle tube on it held with a zip tie. Added bonus when you wanted to blow off your work you clenched the end of the tube tight to the hose, aiming at the work. Then gave it some air... when the tube  got to about 8 inches diameter, you unclench and blow off your work.

Of course if someone was watching  you start #$%*ing around and showing off., clench the tube, give er some air and you could get to around 12 inch diameter... looking like the snake that swallowed the chicken sort of thing..
If , it didnt blow up in your face ! ...and it often did.. HUGE #$%*ING BANG !   ....FUN TIMES there in the 80,s..
Then the end of the tube would be all tattered. . And shorter..
 But hey, tubes are cheap..

Then we would polish the port with emery, cause the effin die grinder made a rough finish. With your finger..
One day I discovered some spray  on blue gasket sealer.. Permatex I think..
Spray it on the back of the emery strip, never ever slipped off your finger.

Now try the rubber ones..
I am curious what M Reick uses..
I have 2 Foredom pedal grinders and a similar hanging Dremel unit that I bought many years ago. The Dremel has held up great but you can't get parts for it anymore. They all have lots of torque can can remove metal quickly especially with Alumi Hog bits. They real nice thing is they can be run slowly giving you a lot of control and leave a much smoother finish that doesn't require so much sanding. All 1/4" shank tools. I generally use 1.5 X .5" tapered sanding rolls but I have a lot of different sizes in both straight and taper.

I had a rally nice electric one, I let an apprentice use it while I was in a meeting. He got it so hot he needed gloves and before I got back the epoxy on the windings melted.
