One way to Fix a Cheap English Wheel

This was a cheapo 
 But wheels looked and turned good, frame flexed like crazy.
 So I built this. .

Now it can work..

Yup, that will do it!

Looks great, I’m sure much better than original.

I have a cheap one from...I don’t remember where. But the wheels didn’t line up at all so I ended cutting it all part and rewelding it back straight. Works just fine now. It still flexes but it’s a small one so I don’t expect it to be that rigid.

 A friend made one from a 4X8 sheet of 1/2" plate, He had two C's (maybe G's) cut out and boxed between them. We asked about the rollers and tools. They make their own for whatever project they need something for. He also made a matching planishing hammer with a motor driving a crankshaft on the top. Should be no surprise, I watched him build a bike stand for his dirt bike when he was 10. It took all of 20 minutes.
