cb550F seat foam - to replace or not?

My original '77 550F seat cover finally reached the end of its life, so I bought a fairly decent-looking replacement cover to put on. Now I'm just wondering if I should replace the seat foam at the same time or just keep the original? It seems still in good shape to be honest, but I'm just wondering if there'd be a massive difference (improvement) if I put on modern foam?

you'll have to shape the foam yourself......there are no aftermarket replacements.

When I did the seat on my 550F I left the foam alone since it wasn't flaking off or otherwise damaged. I did however add some batting material from a fabric store between the foam and the cover.

Thanks guys. Yes, I know there are no direct replacements and it would require shaping the foam myself, that's why I'm not particularly interested in doing that job. It seems big.

Thanks for the suggestion of just putting a little bit of new batting over the original. I may go that route.
