Newb 750 owner saying hi
« on: March 07, 2019, 03:28:09 PM »
Hello fellow Honda owners, new here but not new to honda’s. based in Scottish highlands and an owner of a cb750k k7/8 is a 1978 year bike. It was in a right state when brought about 4\5 years ago. But it was all there apart from the original exhausts. Anyway have stripped, and rebuilt whole bike into brat/cafe racer bike which is about 80% complete. Only have the wiring to complete, carbs, setting up and hopefully on the road in the next couple of months. What I have done so far is;

Bike stripped, frame chopped and powder coated
Wheels powered coated and new tyres, new bearings front and rear
Engine fully stripped, new bearings, seals, crank shells, valves, bronze guides, head ported and new gaskets etc.
Swingarm bushes are bushes now bronze, new seat, tank cleaned out and sealed, fork seals need to be re-done as leaking?. Ignition by C5, waiting on new refurbished carbs k1-k6 type. And a whole heap more.

Got fed up with the bike some 18 months ago, and left it while I did up Honda VTR Firestone, named super hawk in USA, plus work and family commentments,  Now sold and refreshed my feelings again for the cb750 to kick start and finish what I started.
Anyway hello and will be looking for parts to finish also, like inlet rubbers for the new carbs, as k7/k8 don’t fit?.
Thanks
Mag
