Topic: Mac 4-1 headers: Ok to use stainless Allen bolts?

PO used those black anodized Allen bolts and they’re rusting. Is it ok to use stainless there? Should I use anti-seize?

I used stainless bolts on my Delkevic exhaust. Plenty of anti-seize on the threads. It doesn’t sit out in weather. So far all good.

ALWAYS use anti-seize on stainless fasteners when installing in aluminum.

For what it’s worth: I never use Allen bolts for exhaust. Sooner or later you will get one crooked and strip the hole in the cylinder head. Then, you are screwed. Don’t ask me how I know......
Get the correct studs and screw them in before the exhaust. Then use washers and nuts. These came on K7 and K8’s, but <Vintagecb750> now sells them as a kit...... looks good too.
