CB750 passenger peg mounting bolts?
« on: March 29, 2019, 09:57:51 AM »
I have a 4-1 exhaust on my K5 and would like to put the passenger pegs back on. What size bolts do you use? I don't want to buy #90146-300-020 ("pillion step bolt") @ $18/ea. I think they'd be too long anyway?
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.

Yes, the pillion bolt would be to long. I would measure the length you need and take the foot peg to the hardware store for size. You will need bolt, lock washer and nut.

My son fitted a 4-1 on our K3. Not long ago, I wanted to polish the alloy bracket he made and discovered he just dipped into my race car hardware and used a AN-8 (1/2”xUNF), grade 8 bolt with some matching washers and nylock bolt. It was just the right length and looked great. Might be easier to find what you need, and only you will know!
