Scottly, I'm not afraid of throttling and braking.  I just have to up my game and git gud.  Even if it means being what washington considers "reckless" at all times.  (I define reckless as "if you reck at this speed, it will be the less thing you do)
It is the stoplight racers that suck the worst.  3 lane drag strip in the shopping district.

So glad I left bloo at home.

I met the real welcoming committee today.  Cowmann found himself in an actual wild wild west whattheeverlovingF@CK worst case scenario

Apparently, parking in the shade of a gas station canopy is a no-no when patronizing an establishment as an out of state motorcyclist.  Enjoying my subohm vaporizer in a public plaza with no one else around...doubly so.
One very perturbed food cart vendor came at me blind side with orders to get out of the place and he's been on the phone with the sheriff.  Now I can't push that damn bike fast enough for his convience, he reaches in the food cart and lifts up a bolt action carbine.

Jesuschrist.  Real country gentleman here.

Its a goddamn prop.

This idiot follows me around with a cellphone, because he self-admittedly thinks I don't own my ride.
I went inside.  I'd already met the station clerk earlier the morning. So I asked what was up with the man outside brandishing rifles and barking orders like he owns the place.  Btw, this clerk is a puget sound transplant too!
He calls the boss.
All the drama ensues.

I take a moment to push my bike somewhere safely clear of this hostile mans unpredictability, nested the albatross in a space surround by 10 inch thick concrete pylons.
I fully expected this man to be sacked on the spot, hop in his suv, and weaponize it.
But by some gracious act of god and independent contracts, he was simply ordered to deliver an apology.

I did not accept, and I used some absolute choice words taking him to school on what it means to raise a rifle around a biker.
I already gots a ptsd diagnosis and I am NOT messing around with lethal threats no more.

In the words of colorado, if this dude wants to harass bikers at a gas station, he's likely to pick on the wrong one that will drag him out in the desert and put him in a shallow hole.

I had half the mind to temporarily wreck his central nervous system for that stupid stunt.

I work the farm, but still have a soft hand it seems.

At least until management is giving someone a final warning free pass on absolutely illegal use of firearms at her place of business.

I wasn't the consumate professional in that moment.  Something about unpredictable people with guns just flips my nope switch and the fuse starts to get real hot real quick.

Maybe it was a Nice Dreams food cart .. ?.

Note .  NICE dreams was an ice cream truck in a Cheech and Chong movie, they sold weed out of it.. made more money than on  ice cream. .

No, he was costumed as a tribal casino themed poker/blackjack dealer, basically.

Know what would have been a cherry on top of the situation?  If the sheriff did arrive, and did so on a shining white, fully equipped, Fjr1300.

Lovin the poop here in the wild west.

Even if the albatross had one helluva landing.  I'm here for flight school.
Met my campus advisor for his take on the sh!tuation.  The advice was to let the afterburners cool in the hangar for a while, and when the maintenance is done.  Take another run down the strip and reach into that sky on my own terms.

I called my counsel back home and his doctors orders were to buy that guitar i saw in the store.

A right proper, country gentleman.

When you travel south to Tucson you need to avoid any days calling for sandstorms between the two as you are likely to get killed trying to ride through a sandstorm.

I lived in Tucson and Sierra Vista from 05-13 and like Tucson a lot. Plan to move back this fall.

Glad you made it safely and you are settling in. There are crazy people everywhere, avoiding them can be a challenge.

I got winslow on the list, and not especially nostalgic for tucson.

But there a lady north of town, and she's a mountain.

Weekend trip to Sedona is in order as would a trip to the Rawhide "wild west show" there in Phoenix to enjoy the western town and theater they created there..it is entertaining.
Tucson really has a totally different vibe than Phoenix and is a great collection of small neighborhoods in older parts of the city. A trip down to Bisbee and Tombstone is in order for touristy things.  You will have to take in Meteor Crater on your trip to Winslow and then down through Snowflake and Show Low and the White Mountains for some nice riding and picturesque landscapes.

Go to the AZ tourism website and have them send you a bunch of stuff on the Southern AZ sites and things to do...

Musselman Honda in Tucson is one of the oldest dealers in the country if that kind of thine interests you. They have a few old bikes in their collect of a nook of bikes they hung onto or bought for the collection, not all Honda either...

Well, I think I figured a few things out.  There's a certain charm to this city.

And the freeways at night, they aren't too bad.  If I'm being honest.

But the #$%*in weirdos here.  Tell ya what.  Kinda confused at times.

But the mountains are sweet.

Best I can tell, my phone has security risks and my helmets have been tampered with.

There is a strange code language of silence around this town.

Once again, I feel to be the butt of a few jokes.  I didn't sign up for that.  Trying to do the homework, johnny b late.  Looking at white papers and numbers give me headaches.

Don't think too much about outside things, just remember why you're there.  For me, learning a little at a time is better than a marathon. It never got easy but I figured it out.

One quick to the liver then a swift kick to the side of the head while they are lying on the ground struggling to breathe. Lmao.

Whenever the charm offensive doesn't work out.  There is a spicy bottle of Tabasco that will remind the eggheads to keep their distance.

Not that I needed that last night.  Spent the evening in cave creek.  Had dinner with a fine lassie from Seattle.
