Real quick question. 76' 750f1. Does the oil pump strainer screen just pop out?

No.
Yes if somebody has removed it and did not put it back in correctly. The strainer will get a dent when removing it with help of a screwdriver.

Possible to reshape back into business with a socket of a larger size and hamnmer on it. I did that on one recently. But that strainer was a year or 2 old and had fresh rubber, not hard like bakelite as an old might have.

If you need a new one, check these out. https://vitalmotorparts.com/collections/oil-pump-parts/products/honda-cb750-oil-pump-sump-pickup-strainer The seller is also a member on this form, good products, also has a pump seal rebuild kit. I bought both.
