Topic: stator cover 82 650 nighthawk

hi all. I noticed oil leak from stator cover on this bike. opened it up and  there is a quarter size nipple looking part just below the stator and oil is coming from there. pulled it out and it has o ring. what is this part for? can I just put a coat of  Honda bond on it ant stick it back in? thanks WP     couldn't find this part or o ring on bike bandit

I found this on cmsnl.com.  it appears to be the o-ring on the oil plug.

That is the main oil gallery plug DO NOT put any goo of any sort on it get a new O ring
