Through the years I have been fortunate to know and be friends with folks that fought in The Battle of the Bulge, one seriously injured, another who flew B17’s in Europe also during WWII, a very good friend who fought in Desert Storm and numerous other folks who sacrificed for our country. In fact I just met a fellow last week on a sales call that flew helicopter in the Vietnam war and was shot down three times. Great people IMO.

 In that train of thought I worked on a service call for a guy that was at Hickam field Pearl Harbor.  A couple of my uncles and co-workers were veterans that did amazing things. One that flew a P51 and told me about having a preference to meet a ME109 (his words) as an opponent rather than a FW190. The 190's he shot down were as good as his plane, he just lived long enough to catch a break.
