Hi
Got my engine completely together today, decided to fill the oiltank with oil and hook up the hoses, run the engine with the starter and see if i got oil coming outa the head. After a lot of running it on the starter, the head didnt get any oil.
Decided to open up the engine drainplug just to see what was going on, and the engine was completely dry.
unscrewed the oiltank from the hoses, there oil in the hoses but apperently its not going into the engine from the hoses. The oilpump seems to somewhat be working cuz i can see the oil in one of the hoses pulsate when i run it on the starter with the hoses off, however i wonder if that hose is the return hose? its the most forward one on the engine.
the other hose, the oil just sits there and doesnt go into the engine even when i run the starter.
Am i doing something wrong? or is there any tricks to get the oilpump to suck or something? is the air holding the oil back?
