Topic: 76 550K....Need advice on seat / seat cover replacement options

The seat on my stock 76 550K is starting to give up on one of the vinyl seams.  It' just a matter of time now.

Is there any availability on a new old stock seat?  seems like they would be all gone by now.

Any of you cafe guys got one you tossed in a corner in reasonably good shape?

If not, can y'all comment on the replacement covers I see on ebay and such?  Are they worth a crap?

Mine is in great shape except for that one weak seam that will sooner or later be foam sticking out.

I took one to the upholstery shop before it got to bad they restitch it it lasted another 4 years

I wish I could do that.  Mine is splitting on the top...vinyl seam. (where the patern is). No stitching there.

I need that old "vinyl repair" stuff that you gooped on and then ironed it.

I bought one of the cheap covers and put it on my old seat, it looked ok. But, I was doing a stock restoration on my '76 550F and it just didn't look right [and didn't have the Honda logo on the back].
I ended up finding a used original seat in great cond and selling the recovered one. Doubt there are any NOS covers out there.

OK....I wanna be the second guy in the whole world that finds a "used original seat in great condition".

Y'all check that pile of parts you got over in the corner and give me a shout.  I've got my wallet out.
