Since it is LEGAL in Canada...

Anyone grow cannabis? First grow this summer... Probably going to make a Space Bucket to get it started, then maybe transplant to outdoors.

Check your fertilizer for heavy metals. The weed is a bio-accumulator and will uptake toxins from the growth medium, which will then concentrate in the leaves which are a part of the buds. No matter how well you trim, there will be some leaf in your smoke. High five!
Nothin matters, if ya don't mind.

Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Not legal here in NZed, got a couple of ladies growing in the garden at the moment. Don't smoke any way near what I used to, but ity is nice to have some on board without dealing with the local dropkick.

So I built my spacebucket. This is going to be a fun experiment!

Once it grows some more I'll add this spacer.

I only vaporize (with a Dynavap M) or make cannaoil. So no combustion. But still good to know.

Start em out in a tube or grow wool then keep transplanting up to bigger pots or the roots will most likely rot.

The first time I took indoor starts outside they all fibrillated because the photoperiod was off.  Had the starts on 24 or 18 hours and the spring days were much shorter. Plants tried to flower, re-vegetated, then flowered with long stems between each node. Made for a bunch of pretty worthless popcorn buds that were horrible to trim. It's tricky to get it right, but possible. Timers helped  a lot.
Pot used to be illegal, throughout North America; things sure have changed!
Seaweed and sea-bird guano have done wonders for me, as recommend by many old timers. if I may add my two cents about fertilizers. Composted chicken manure is anothe r good one, and goat bedding for mulch. FTP!

That's what I'd like to know too.
I'd love to have a cone on a Friday night with beers  but wont because I'm worried being  tested a day or so later.
Having said that I've never been tested for drugs. Just not worth the risk here. I'd hate to lose my license.

As far as work testing, my civilian job does not test and in the military (army reserve) there are strict rules about when it can be consumed (8 hrs before regular shift, 24 hrs before shifts when weapons handled, none on course/ex even if off duty, basically none if you are flight crew). If you come to work obviously #$%*ed up, whether it be alcohol or weed or anything else, you'll be sent home without pay, likely tested, and fined. As it should be. With the military you can still get randomly tested, they're just not looking for residual amounts of THC anymore.

As far as driving, there's some hoops to jump through yet... A woman in NS was recently pulled over and tested. The test found high levels of THC in her blood because she is a medical user, but she hadn't had any that day. Her car was impounded, and she had to pay a bunch to get it out... A real #$%*show. Her lawyers are going to town on it though! ;D

This whole thing is new for Canadians! Certainly a welcome change.

Anyway, here's 10 days from sprouting: https://i.imgur.com/QtE90NB.jpg
