Where are you located? Those numbers say 1977 Australian market bike.

I think that's a 1976 Australian K6. The number spread has been reported to be unusually wide on the Australian export bikes, no reason given. It is therefore possible you have the original engine but there's no easy way to tell. If your ownership papers list both numbers (unusual but I don't know what Australia does) you may be able to request an ownership history from the government.
Honda presumably had records of serial numbers and where they were shipped to... if they still have the records I have not heard of anyone getting that data from Honda.

I’m curious....... If it’s a ‘77 cb750K, does it have a bolt on engine mount (removable) on the front left frame down-tube?  It’s a unique feature, to that year, instead of the welded on lug.

Thanks, appreciate knowing. From my research (not much) that engine mount is only on K7 frames.

I don't know about how things worked in Oz, but in the US the 77 bikes had different carbs than the 76 bikes due to changes in US emissions laws. I know that European bikes didn't get some of the changes that US bikes did, so that might apply to Australia too. The carbs have numbers on them, typically on the rack near the #4 carb. Just double check what you have before you order parts.

I’m interested to know how you guys can determine that it’s an Australian market bike from the engine & frame number?

Not saying you’re incorrect. Just how do you know that? I’m in Australia and never knew that could be determined from the frame/engine numbers.

If you go to the main SOHC4.net site and click on the model pages to get to the 750 you will find a serial number chart. Here is a link to the 750K chart:

Registration years can be a year off. The 76 production ended in June 76 but some could have been sold as 77 models.

The frame number definitely indicates a 1976 K6. The practice of updating the years when sold happens in Canada too. I have a 1971 Cb750K1 that sold in a Toronto dealership in 1972. Of course, it’s registered as a 1972. One day I will get it fixed......

The K designation was not used consistently around the world.
