I bought “no number” K0 style re-pops from Yamiya. They are like early K0 pipes and only have a small removable baffle at the end. Great sound. I have not run them yet with the baffles out but I bet it would be a bit hooligan. ;-))
Hi,
The baffles are not that small, almost like small beer bottles in size.

Interesting to see that pipe opened.
My Lotus root pipes have not the inner perforated tube, plus even fatter baffles, bomb shaped. That can be verified with baffles out, a big hole in the end that connects with the other pipe connected by a rubber.
My K2 stock build runs better with the stock wool around the Yamiya No Number (HM300) baffles! Surprise before vehicle inspection to reduce sound. They will stay. Bike sound good despite those that I was sure should choke the bike. It must be the backpressure that make the bike to run better from take off and throttle response at 3000-5000 rpm.
EDIT: If you think that the more open Lotus Root pipes will give more top HP than No numbers HM300 on a modified bike.....
Surprise!
My modified K6 1005 cc + more mods lost around 4-5 hp, got more torque and earlier. This despite better jetting according to dyno and A/F meter. Had way too rich needles. This with no baffles since the A/F meter had a tube to be inserted as long in as possible. Checked all 4 pipes. 2 runs of 2 pipes at each time. 93 vs 88 rwhp.
Lotus root with baffles in had almost same top hp as out , but earlier torque response at around 2500-4000, less from around 4000-6500 rpm. Both 4-4 setups did not want to scream above 8000-8500 rpm. OK for engine durability but not for max Hp on the chart.
Saw same thing with different cams and 836cc with No numbers. Same 836 setup with 4-1 had no problem to enter 9500 rpm, over 10.000 with another cam.
Conclusion: Yamiya No number (HM300) work really fine on a stock bike and modified if 8000 rpm is enough on 5:th gear. I love the sound and look too.
Let's see if my K6 will get its 4-4 back on, now 4-2-1 to verify more power.
Maybe others have similar experiences.
