Alright, I bought the 750 with the blue tank and weird seat pictured below a couple of months ago for $300 bucks sitting in a barn. The tag on the neck is weird and doesn't have rivets, no date, the front end has blue gauges but im not sure it belongs to this frame, I still haven't checked the engine number or referenced the book. I got the bike home and got it fired up really easily and it sounded great. Since there is no title Im picking up a titled frame for $200 from a friend. Today, I purchased a retired 750 drag bike in Toledo because I wanted the set of aluminum rims and extended boxed swing arm, they are DID Japan 18" front and back, a matching set. The rear has a fat slick on it but both tires are dry rotted so no good. The front spokes are clean but the nipples are rusted, the rear spokes aren't too bad and should clean up alright but the nipples are in better shape. Upon closer examination I see both the front and rear hub fins have been machined off, the front forks are uncovered and in pretty decent shape. The Swing arm is not aluminum, is extended but also has the stock setting for the axle which is neat I think. The bike came with a fiberglass tank, fuel capacity is about 1.5 gallons, the two side frame rails have been removed, since its a 72' frame i might try and get it titled for the hell of it, if that happens then maybe purchase that weld in kit for the removable frame rails sold on the forum. The tank came with matching side covers and matching rear fender.
The pictures below are of the drag bike from toledo and the last picture is the untitled barn find.
