No 400 fender anywhere in the shop, I thought there may be one because there is a 4-1 exhaust and a couple of those motors hanging around....oh well.
I replaced my gas lid seal today because it was leaking horribly, loosened up my rear brake because it was locking up every chance it got, finally played with the preload adjusters. It looks to be 2mm per marker so Im at 4mm of preload and its feels AMAZING. Completely changed the feel of this bike and completely worth $120.00 My left fork seal did show some weeping after the first 2mm of adjustment on the preload adjusters and some riding. I wiped it off, did another 2mm and rode it again, there was less on the fork tube the second time. Also, I realized the grab bar on my bike is a 500/550. I'm not sure I have a 750 grab bar or not but I am sure I want the right one on there...its much more robust and has more space between it and the frame of the motorcycle.
I have a muffler from cycle x and another header but I love these yoshi knock off pipes, nothing beats those swooping hand bent headers. Since they cut corners on the rest of the pipe and its chopped up welded parts, Im considering cutting it off and fabricating what i need to fit the muffler. The end of the pipe looks cheap and I dont like the sound of the pipe at all. I have one of these mufflers on my 550 with a MAC header that I bought used off ebay, it sounds amazing and improved performance on my bike big time.
Im going to combine my favorite header of all time with my favorite muffler.
current light set up - dont think its legal to have red lights on the front of vehicles (only emergency vehicles) so I used amber above the exhaust. Ill eventually swap the light under the seat to a running/brake light.
