I got the 110 KENDA front tire off today and installed the Bridgestone, installed the TTR400 preload adjusters and the new fork ears. I added 2mm to the caliper mounting bracket hardware, the wheel rolls nicely now with little drag. Does anyone not use the long screw that controls the floating arm on both sides? Can both sides be floating?

Very happy at the difference in the size of the front tire, makes the combo much more aggressive, lesson learned. As far as the front fender, I figure I could mount the left side on the side of the caliper mount so it acts as a spacer so I could remove a couple washers. Im pleased with the way the fork ears turned out with the dedicated hole for the turn signals, I removed the signal on the rear and will order another pair of blaze pins. I got the rear grab bar installed but not completely bolted on, once that is done Ill work on a new way of mounting the rear tail light.

Here are a couple random pics of bikes in the shop.

They are very nice and very lightweight. I dropped one of them about 5-6 times tying to put it in. I haven't messed with any adjustment yet.

I got a front fender on and removed 2mm of washers in place of it. I don't like the amount of space between the fender and tire, but its on there. I figured out the fitment and will deal with a replacement later. I #$%*ed up the chop as well so it wont stop splashing onto the motor in rain and Ill prolly put a fuller fender on there.\.
I ordered another set of motogadget blaze pins, welded on a bracket onto the rear fender to mount the rear tail light.

The new front tire FEELS AMAZING. That 110 kenda was such a heavy large tire.....the bike rolls and handles so well now...cant wait for some warmer weather. I welded two ends of  a couple brake stay bars, kinda crooked, painted it black and put it on there.

Needed:
new mounts for the front fairing and install it.
install all 4 turn signals - waiting for the other set to be delivered
change oil
find a new front fender thats actually functional now that I have fitment figured out.
fix the rear sprocket cover so the holes line up.
reinforce the tail light mount and weld on tabs for the rear turn signals.

They are for sure securely bolted on. Im going to  start playng with the preload adjusters tomorrow after I rode it some more today. Brake performance and feel is wonderful but im still going to replace the old black lines. I want to see something nice hanging around the fork legs. Now that the  grab bar and rear tail light are installed I can start thinking about custom luggage carriers and rear rack. I was fighting the idea of making that rear tail light a permanent fixture on the bike, but Im liking the idea of blending vintage lights with LEDs. I will most likely go with a full fender as well, or maybe only bobbed at the front.

You'll appreciate longer fenders on one of those tours you do;when you see clouds on the horizon, they'll give you a bit more time to get settled for the evening without getting 'striped'  :D

Actually, it's just whatever was in there cleaned up so im not sure. I'm ordering new pistons and pads with the new brake lines. Trying to get it all from one place to save on shipping. Didn't order that stuff until I figured out the correct spacing for the dual disk and front fender. I have to really get used to not needing the rear brake, on the 550 I almost 100% of the time required combo braking for the best efficiency, today was the third time I almost had my rear tire slide out when i braked.

Your great looking bike looks even better now. It still has a very special "attitude" that is hard to describe but impossiblenot to like.  I like the small fender myself but can understand why you want a full length version.

I never paid attention to what a grab bar does to visual impression of the whole bike but now I see that it makes a difference and is a nice detail, makes the rear look more interesting.

I did sync the carbs, they were actually really good. My throttle cable has been coming loose at the carb, has been causing the throttle to hang. Im not a huge fan of having my idle really low, phil usually has his around 900-1k...i hate that. I usually run mine around 1100....in the end of the video it was kinda high and i lowered the idle screw. There are some flat spots when i ride, some sputtering, I probably need to re jet for the 4-1.

Thank you. Yeah, I know i wanted it on there for tie down points and incase i try to ride this thing two up. At first it looked weird with the bobbed fender but its growing on me. The longer i look at it the more it feels like it belongs. I figured out that the extra space under the front fender is because of the 18" wheel.... oh well.

No 400 fender anywhere in the shop, I thought there may be one because there is a 4-1 exhaust and a couple of those motors hanging around....oh well.

I replaced my gas lid seal today because it was leaking horribly, loosened up my rear brake because it was locking up every chance it got, finally played with the preload adjusters. It looks to be 2mm per marker so Im at 4mm of preload and its feels AMAZING. Completely changed the feel of this bike and completely worth $120.00 My left fork seal did show some weeping after the first 2mm of adjustment on the preload adjusters and some riding. I wiped it off, did another 2mm and rode it again, there was less on the fork tube the second time. Also, I realized the grab bar on my bike is a 500/550. I'm not sure I have a 750 grab bar or not but I am sure I want the right one on there...its much more robust and has more space between it and the frame of the motorcycle.

I have a muffler from cycle x and another header but I love these yoshi knock off pipes, nothing beats those swooping hand bent headers. Since they cut corners on the rest of the pipe and its chopped up welded parts, Im considering cutting it off and fabricating what i need to fit the muffler. The end of the pipe looks cheap and I dont like the sound of the pipe at all. I have one of these mufflers on my 550 with a MAC header that I bought used off ebay, it sounds amazing and improved performance on my bike big time.

Im going to combine my favorite header of all time with my favorite muffler.

current light set up - dont think its legal to have red lights on the front of vehicles (only emergency vehicles) so I used amber above the exhaust. Ill eventually swap the light under the seat to a running/brake light.

I bid on a unicorn triple the other night and won it, i didnt mean to do it. Oh well.

Are k-1,2,3 gauges the only ones that will fit?

anyone willing to trade something for them or can confirm a way to mod later instruments to them?

Ill prolly list them for sale, trade them for something otherwise.

You running LED's in your taillight? The 1157 style ? They look real bright ! if they're the 1157 type of bulbs, they're a Lot brighter than the ones I purchased. What brand are those bulbs ?

No LED in the tail light, the LED in the wheel well are just some cheap eagle eye lights from amazon.

Oh,ok.
That rear light is bright, must have a good design and Honda bulbs?
sorry, thought i answered that, I swapped in a halogen bulb in the housing.
