New dude from Montana
« on: April 26, 2019, 09:15:25 AM »
Hi friends,
My name is Chance.  I’ve been riding motorcycles for about fifteen years now.  I started on old enduros in the mountains but moved onto the street and bought my first Honda CB500 four years ago.  I spent about 6 months learning how to work on it after a roommate sold it to me during the middle of its winter rebuild.  It wasn’t running at the time so I went through a few headaches and lessons learning to work on it and getting it running.  I plan on doing a whole post on its history but short story is I sold it after getting it running to fund a CB900 Custom purchase, 3 years and two bikes later the buyer decided she didn’t want it and I jumped on it having regretted selling it every day since.  So here I am to join in on this community that I no doubt lurked back in my learning days 4 years ago.  I’ve already read through quite a few threads and lovin’ it.
My day job is roasting coffee.  I’m 30.  Excited to have my baby back.

Nice!  and thanks.  I'm originally from Helena but I live in Missoula now.  Winters are rough but I don't know much else so we stick through it.

Thank you and thank you.  I'm happy to be here for sure.  I will say that the xs400 forum is also a real nice group of people for anyone who has a yammi as well.  I spent some time over at their forum the last year and some.
