CB500K2 Fuel Line Routing
« on: May 08, 2019, 09:52:59 PM »
I assume that the two fuel lines that run from the gas tank petcock  connect to the two large "T" fittings and the fuel line internal diameter is 5.5mm.  One T fitting connects carbs #1 & #2  together and the other connects carbs #3 & #4 together.

The  spigots at the bottom of the carburetor float chamber connect to the four overflow  tubes.

There are two short pieces of 3.5mm fuel line, each about an inch long,  that join each pair of carbs, connecting to brass spigots on the inward facing sides of the carb bodies. These spigots are above the "T" mounting holes on the carb body.

The mystery is here:  There are two spigots that point upwards at about a 45 degree angle and would seem to take 3.5mm fuel line. These are part of the carb body on carbs #2 and #3.   They seem to be in the same line as the brass spigots described above. The parts manual lists 95001-35330-40 as 3.5mmx330mm  fuel tube, requirement 2 pieces. These would seem to connect to those upward pointing spigots. The question is where do the opposite ends connect to?

They are vent tubes that should be located somewhere underneath the air box (others will probably chime in with some more specifics as to the exact location). They don't actually connect to anything - they just vent.

I have the same bike and mine have always been open.  +1 to venting of some sort
