Topic: air filter element access

Trying to remove the filter element in my airbox.  I'm sorry if this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find anything in the search.  I got the right side bolt loosened, but when I tried to get the left side, I boogered up the bottom of the box.  The metal spun in the plastic, and now I can't get the bolt loose.  Any suggestions on how to go about getting it loose?  Thank you in advance.

On my bike, a 78 750K, I use a 10mm wrench on the top while holding the bottom with a 12mm socket.  The bottom is indented, so it takes the height/depth of a socket to hold it.  Works well.

Sorry about that...its a 77 K model.  I'll get a socket on it.  (there should be plenty of room now that the plastic hole is a little bigger!  )  I appreciate the response.  Seems like a dumb question now that I think about it.  I was working on it last night, and I guess I just had a retarded moment.

I had exactly the same problem when I went to change the filter first time on my bike.  I went to a friend who kept scratching his head saying "Honda engineers are smarter than that".  Finally, he hands me a socket and says "try this".  He was right.  Honda engineers are plenty smart.  I'm not.

On the other hand, some NON-Honda engineer must have stripped the airbox fasteners and simply epoxy'd the holes where the screws went.  I took off the airbox [pretty simple to do] then punched out the epoxy from the holes.  Then, I decided to toss the airbox and go with individual filters!!!!
