« on: May 13, 2019, 05:40:16 PM »
Anyone in medical field that can tell me the name of this stainless steel depressor / spade / spoon thing?  Measures about 7.5” along.

Works great for random tool...had it for 20
Years and no clue what it’s real name is..would like to grab a few more for garage and tool boxes.

Damnit Jerry!  That was one of those things I looked up for a while trying to use the term spade, scraper, depressor, etc...

Of course it’s slatula....thanks!

I’ll buy you a beer for that if you come to mid Ohio ;)

check out dental tool supplies for loads of stuff like that

i got given a whole dentists surgery years ago and there were loads of handy little spatulas, hooks, picks, grinders, all sorts of stuff

and of course the dentists chair is a great place to sit back and have a relaxing herbal remedy after a hard days work

That looks more like something a sculptor would use on clay than a medical device.

unlikely to be made of stainless for sculpting, more likely wood or plastic, also the knurling would fill up with slippery goo and then go hard and be a pain in the arse
i blame Terry

That's a double ended #8-P wax spatula..used in dental profession. Can get through any dental supply house (also other similar styles).
