Throttle cable "pushing" out of catch

Twice today, the twist of the throttle netted no revs. Fortunately, the first time was in the neighborhood, the second was in my driveway.

The cable is pushing out of the catch on the curved channel (yeah, pretty sure I just showed my ignorance there) at the carbs. It's easy enough to put back in place, but clearly this is now a recurring thing.

Is this indicative of an issue with the throttle cable or the spring... or something else.

Thanks!

Pic... because my social media guy says every post should have a picture ;-)

Too much slack. Use the adjuster where the cable attaches to the rack.
