Just put new "Motion Pro" throttle cables on my '78 750K and wanted to share my experience -- the nut that screws into the switch housing on the "push" cable had a problem with the threads, not sure what because they looked undamaged and clean, but it would not thread into the housing! (I haven't tried the "pull" cable yet.) So I ordered a 12mm x 1.0mm die and cleaned up the threads and it went on the way they are supposed to. Maybe it was just the paint, as the nut was painted black.
Don't know if this was a one off issue or an across the board issue with manufacturing but thought it might be helpful to someone who runs into the same problem.
