Topic: GPS phone tracker so my family can keep track of my rides

Hello,

does anyone have a simple phone app for real-time phone location? I'm trying to find something that lets another phone see where my phone is in real-time, when I go for rides.

All I can find are complicated family apps or stuff to spy on your spouse/kids. All I want is a GPS tracker for my own phone that someone else can view.

Depends upon your phone brand. Apple has "Find My Friends" that works extremely well. Google something similar. Google also allows you to set up your phone using its native GPS to synch with their service and your family/friends can track you through a website. Its all free, and all very simple.

Hmm, I have a Samsung Galaxy and my wife has an LG G4, both of which run Android, albeit a different version.

I will look into this.

Google maps has a share my location feature.
Will send data to your contacts so long as they have a Gmail account and/or profile.

Haven't used it myself but a friend of mine and his family all use Glympse: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glympse.android.glympse&hl=en

There's an IOS version, too.

whatsapp has that as a native feature, you can share your location for up to 8 hours with whoever you share it with.
