Topic: Cb750k2, can i use chain guards from other models?

Hi Folks

I would like to put on a chrome chain guard on my cb750k2, i wonder if any of you know if it will fit from other cb750s, for example 1981 750k, or f or something?

The 1975 - 1978 CB 750F bikes all have factory chrome chain guards.

The 1975 F0 and the 1976 F1 both have the narrow single bearing output shaft (530 chain) similar to the early K models.

I know we tried to put a 76F1 chain guard on my buddy's 75K and something didn't line up.
I'm thinking the 76F1 has a slightly longer swing arm. The rear bolt hole didn't line up. It may have been just the rear bolt hole didn't line up. It was the chain guard off my F1 we used temporarily just to see if it wouldn't fit.

 He had put an RC sidewinder on his K and wanted a chrome chain guard where the original pipes were. He ended up with an universal aftermarket chrome guard that he never was happy with.

Back then everyone was running 130/90 16 or 17 rear tire and 4 inch rims and it would rub whereas the F1's chain guard wouldn't. He had that area machined out which weakened it some.

71 guard is plastic. 71 thru 76 k should fit.

Yamiya sell chrome chain guard. My K6 with K2 swingarm has one. When I ordered mine they had only the more expensive version.
