Running a week behind.  I finally rebuilt the calipers and got them mounted on the bike.  It all went pretty smooth.  I forgot to blast and repaint the brake pad dowel pin locking plates (whatever those things are called).  I’ll knock that out tomorrow.

At least I can shop for a jumper brake line and some banjo bolts now.  I think the line from the master cylinder will be long enough.

This is a really cool looking dual caliper set up.  I'm curious to hear how it performs.

I ordered the brake line and the banjo bolts.  I hope it all gets here by the weekend.

Well, whadda you know.  It works.  I got the new front brakes working today.

I had to reorder a few parts because I ordered some of the wrong stuff, but I finally got all the right parts and got it all put together.  I’m happy to report that this setup works and it works well.  Of course it’s not as good as a brand new modern bike, but it way out performs the OEM setup and that’s what I was looking for.

I rode up an down the street for about 15 minutes, riding slow and breaking in the pads, then I took it for a 10 mile test ride.  No issues at all other than the lever feels just a tad bit squishy.  Might still have a tiny air bubble.  Gonna rebleed in a couple of days.

Overall I’m very pleased with the outcome.  Looking forward to putting some miles on this bike.

Looks great.

Quite possibly, but I’ve seen it done a bunch of times.  I guess I’ll take my chances.  It’s pretty flat around here and there are no canyons.
