Gentlemen, and ladies:

I've been searching for suppliers of stuff for a 70 model CB750. As you know, parts can be hard to find.

I've had some good luck dealing with this individual. Perhaps he can assist you. He seems to throw away more motorcycles (by the container load) than most have on their property.

For instance, my chopper clutch cable died. I asked him if he had any bikes with extended handlebars that might make a good subsitute. He replied he wouldn't sell me one. Most of his stuff is old and sitting in the weather. The cables would likely be rusted or at least bound up. They might not last a day.

I considered that to be an indicator of his character.

That's not all that odd: I have visited bikeyards from Colorado to Missouri, and when I've inquired about cables for the bikes they offer me new ones instead, mentioning that they wish to sell 'good' parts so as to protect their reputation. Can't blame 'em for that?

Check with Motion Pro for extra-length cables. Sometimes Z1 Enterprises and CycleX also have them. Highrise bars usually need +6" clutch cables.

I'm working with Evan at Barnett Clutches on getting the cable. $75 to start, plus shipping and tax. Prices have gone up since my last replacement. ya think!
