It was great getting together at Steve Blake's last Saturday with Sean, Andy and Mike. Andy was fiddling with his windshield when Sean, Mike and I pulled in the driveway from Saco Maine and it had warmed up to 60ish degrees. Sean was thinking about his little windshield too and Steve piped up that he had an original Wixom fairing upstairs that he'd donate to Sean's ride, he'd taken it off his gold K2. Sean and I drove back over from my place the next day in my van as it was raining to get the Wixom and some NOS parts from Steve including a new clutch lifter plate(didn't end up needing it though). The clutch was fine. And yes thanks Andy for texting about the screw that you had come loose on your K4 on a mountain rode in the alps. As Sean's is a K4 too, this is a possible problem with the K4s per Mark Paris in his reply he has found a few of the shift drum/holding plate tapered screw loose over the years(note to self to check the screw on my K4 project!). We put some loctite blue(Andy did it to his) on the threads rather than relying on the failed staking to hold it.
It's been great having you in as company Sean. And yes your shifting does sound lots better as it should sound.
I'm glad you decided to stay a few extra days here and went to Bike Night too. You are welcome anytime here.
