Tent Camping at 2019 Mid Ohio VMD
« on: June 12, 2019, 12:46:07 PM »
Anyone have a tent site reserved with space for another tent (3 are allowed per site)? I am happy to split the cost of the site.

I booked a hotel in Columbus that is nonrefundable or I would join you. Didn't want to pay $80-100 or more a night. So, I booked a decent place in Dublin on the NW side of Columbus for $69/night.
But then again, if it rains a lot, then camping is not very fun.  Hopefully we will have some good weather to enjoy.

We should do some kind of name tags with the SOHC4 logo on them so we can recognize one another. I imagine many will not know one another by sight, not having met before.
Is there a place we can meet daily if people want to hang out together and take in the event? I realize some have said they will be in the swap area selling things.

Look forward to meeting you.

I will have my SOHC4 Levi jacket, a damn near NOS 1975 Candy Sapphire Blue CB750F with a black powder coated engine, Kerker with CR31 Special carbs and GZ v1.0 will be keeping an eye on me, the original banner and log book, and a big #$%* eating grin on my old fukn face. DO NOT APPROACH UNLESS YOU HAVE A COLD ASS BEER FOR ME!!!!

Now with all that said, tomorrow is PROBABLY my fire up the new engine day.... Don't anyone jinx me!!!!! AND, I still have to get there as long as the SOHC4 and Subaru gods are willing. It's a LONG way from Colorado.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Not bringing the F with the Webers on it?

Could/might also?? First things first. Not so sure how my 2009 4 banger Subie Outback would handle 2 of them. I still need to dial in the Webers but my real baby comes first. Looks like the battery is a goner. Grab a new one and fire her up tomorrow perhaps and see how the new engine is doing. I am also planning on bringing some of my stash from the basement to sell. Nice 77/78 F body set, wheels (stock and Lesters), cams, lightened/balanced crank, 1080 kit, NICE Kerker, and more.

#$%* Frank, I'm concentrating on the Blue one first. They both need attention and I am not around much so my time gets split up. Weber bike next up. You coming to Bonneville?

I had thought of bringing two on a trailer, but the thought of them sitting in a motel lot gives me the willies.

I have everything except the 9. I will need sleep at some point lol. I really want a 6X12 enclosed trailer but there's a 28'er already.

P.S. Uhaul rents enclosed trailers and for "local" use they are not terribly expensive.
