Engine Weight for 350F or 400F?
« on: January 29, 2007, 06:47:56 AM »
Hi Group
Does anyone have any information on engine weight for the 350F or 400F? If you do I would like to know. Also I would like to know what was or was not on the engine when weighed, such as carbs.

I believe it's around 120lbs for the lump, which would include clutch etc but not carbs.

It’s heavy, I went purple carrying my 400 engine with no carbs, I never thought to stand on the scales though!  ;)

Yep, it's about my limit too, very glad when I get one rested on the bench. As for 750 motors, 180lbs is way beyond me so last time I got my mate over to help, he usually works on plant, diggers & stuff. I turned my back for a moment & he said "well where's it going then?", looked round & he was stood there holding it in his arms, like it was nothing.  He must eat loads of spinach.

I had a 350f engine shipped a few years back and, if I remember correctly, the engine (including shifter/brake levers, but no carbs) was 125 lb.
