1974 cb750 exhaust replacement
« on: June 23, 2019, 07:33:33 AM »
I have a 74 with a rotted out 4-1 exhaust.  I also have a 4-1 that I had on a 76 cb750 super sport in good shape.  I was going to swap them out , but they have different collars.  Can I buy a set of collars for a 76 F model , with flanges, and bolt this up to the 74K.
The K header slip over the exhaust joints and tighten down with the side screw collar,  where the 76 collars have screws that mount thru to the motor.
Any advice would be appreciated.  I don't want to buy collars and flanges for a F model from Ebay and not be able to use them.

Yes, I used an RC4-1 for K7 on my K6 (same frame as K4).
I had to fix the collars and "half pipe" parts + studs to mount it. Rear bracket did not match the K6 frame since K7 has the rear ear higher up. F bike probably very similar.

Thanks, what you did is exactly what I am wanting to do.  I thought about the different collars and half pipe flanges, but forgot about the studs.  Do you recall the length and size of the studs I need?
Thanks again
