Howell, MI
« on: May 12, 2005, 09:51:16 AM »
I just got my first motorcycle up and running, an 81 CB650C.  I'd like to go get my license but all the safety classes are booked up for the year and I don't have any friends that ride anymore.

So I'm looking for someone that might want to go on a few rides together and show me some of the things I'll be tested on when I go to take the skills test.

I'm in Howell, Michigan, I'm 24, and I'm more about going on long, fun rides on country roads than speeding through town.

Let me know if you're interested.

I'm in Royal Oak, MI, but I head out that way every few weekends and I'm fresh off the Harley Rider's edge safety course. First thing you need to do is take your written test for your learner's permit. Then, you can ride under the supervision of another endorsed rider.

Those are nice roads out there, been on them many times on a Sunday afternoon. Drop me an e-mail if you want to chat about it more. redwingsfever@hotmail.com

Sorry, the forum icon was grayed out for me so I didn't realize anyone was posting replies.

I checked the MSF classes at Schoolcraft, Washtenaw, and Mott and they're full.  So I was thinking about just taking the Rider Skills Test this Saturday in Howell, and try to get into an MSF class early next year.

Yeah, I am in the same boat.  I signed up to be waitlisted for a class at WCC, doubt I'll get in.  They did have a weekday class open. But I dont know how I feel about spending a full week, all day each day in there, or how my work would feel!

I know I might take crap, sugesting this but you might try gilbert's Harley Davidson of Port Huron MI
the class isn't cheap about $350 dollars and 3 evening, 2 afternoons But you use their bikes 500cc so if you
drop it no worries
