swapping rims

can anyone know if the rims from a 77 750 matic will swap onto a 71 cb 500 without any probolems.just discovered the brand nos tires are a pos.thanks as we are trying to get it ready to take to ohio next weekend

 Not a direct swap. Anything is possible but you'd have to make axle spacers, etc.
 Or are you talking about lacing the hoop to the 500 hub?

The front should swap direct. The back may take some effort,  but it should be doable

If the matic has the 450x17 tyre forget it as its too wide for the swingarm
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

Well the front was a direct swap but you must use the 500 rotor(smaller dia).now the rear was a no way in hell fit. the 750 swingarm was 1 inch (aprox)wider then the 500 swingarm.thanks for input.hopefully new tires arrive tomorrow so we can ride in Ohio
