Hi All,
Don't know how people around your area drive, but around here people just no longer stop for stop signs. Most, I'd say 75 percent merely slow down then drive right through the signs.

The other day I was at a gas station filling up.  There is a stop sign on a small hill, 30 degrees towards merging onto a main road so you have to really crane your head around to see if any traffic is coming as you can not see traffic coming via your mirrors. A sheriff was parked where people could not see him in the gas station parking lot until they reached the top of the hill/stop sign. I observed 6 of 10 vehicles slow, but not stop and proceed onto the main road. The cop did nothing, as I could see him just sitting there eating his donut and coffee from the gas station.  The gas station workers say there are near misses/accidents daily at this intersection

At first I thought there'd be another cop up the road, but no.

Why I'm venting: almost got hit again by someone not stopping at a STOP sign saturday while on the CB550 with high beam on and reflective helmet. It just angers me no end.

You really don't understand how hard it is to text,put on makeup, balance a cup of hot coffee and yell at the kids while driving, do you? Now what makes you think people need to be bothered with stopping their car just because of a stupid red sign!

A few years ago I got hit from behind on my FJ whilst stopped at a stop sign then bang.
Idiot in ute hit me fairly hard. Said he didn't think I was going to stop.

Seems to be getting worse lately.  Whether on a bike or in a cage, seems if you stop at a 4-way stop these days, more often than not, the idiots see it as a chance to do a roll through and try and jump their turn.

Surprises me tbh since dashcams are becoming more common.

In the Detroit area all traffic signs and lights are just suggestions on what you should do.  :o

Not in these parts!  Texas just banned red light cameras statewide.
