POST YOUR BEFORE & AFTER/CURRENT PICS OF YOUR RIDES !
« on: January 22, 2007, 11:53:10 AM »
How about we do alittle before and after thread...
Post a pic (if you have one) of how your CB looked when you first took delivery - and the bike now in it's current state. I think this will be a good thing to help people get motivated during the crappy weather to get crackin on their projects...

This is how my CB750 looked when I first took delivery (love the seat and bars)..

And here's how it looked at the end of the 2006 Season..

And it's current state with black wheels...

How about your scoot ?

I bought this K2 in 1999 when I first came to America. Rode till 2001 then final gear bearing went and it sat in a garage until 2004. Lower engine rebuilt and now needs tank/sidecovers painted to finish.

cheers
Andy

Hey, Andy. Nice bike. But what is it with you and the good looking ladies........

Edit: could it be that you are a kilt wearing Scot, and as we all know the ladies can resist?

I didn't take any pics of the bike when I first brought it home. Wish I had now.

Hey Andy, what bars you got on that nice looking K2?

No clearance issues Rocking M - i put in some small hose clamps (as recommended on this forum) over the steering blocks/tunring nipples? and this fills the space nicely - bars dont touch the tank. The grips seem very comfy as well (so far as I can tell) - I was going for the chrome front look (bars, gauges, indicator light panel, grips, headlight shell etc). Have a chrome alternator cover to install when it gets warmer in the garage - 23F this weekend....brrrr.

Nice transformation of your bike as well. Looking good. Clearly a lot more work than me!

cheers
Andy

Hey Andy, I can't quite make out how the brake master mounts up on the bars.
Any problem?  Looks like not but it seems to me that clubmans might create a problem.
Thanks.

Rocking M - master cylinder is stock - just bolts on - no problems with clearance or fluid level and more importantly brakes are working welll - I have a stainless steel line going to the switch.
