Got my 77 550k running like a sewing machine... Dynatek ignition, new charging system, carbs synced up, and would like to get a bit more power out of it.
I’m planning on installing a hotter cam and wondering if anyone who has done this could possibly provide feedback on which option they chose and why?
Current options:
650 cam... or
Megacycle 126-00 cam... or
Dynoman 358a webcam.
Of course will do some porting head work while in there, but wondering if at that point to go for the even hotter cams available from these manufacturers (which require high compression pistons and springs), or is that overkill?
