Well, Grandma did not fail

We did the side mount, sliding the frame over engine routine and it worked out great.
Steering bearings all done, Registration plate glued back on the neck with rivets glued back as well.

Based on the pics, it looks like Grandma did all the work

I've converted a CL 175 to internal throttle cable by using and older Honda controlls (S90) and bars. The bars have a cut out for the cable puller to ride in.
I've had moped handle bars that used bar end levers for internal clutch(L/S would be brake on the ped) and R/S brake with an internal throttle. Now that would be different.

Grandma stayed another day her time did not go to waste. Put the new shock bushings in the freezer in the morning and here we are installing them in the re-chromed swing arm.

It was a great weekend, we got a lot done. She can't wait to tell her "stitching" gals about her weekend motorcycle build work.

Question about the fins on your head. Mine seem to narrow down at the tip and are not clean cut with the milled look. Did you have to grind / polish them to be able to tape them off for painting? I like the aluminum tipped fins with black paint.

I sanded the fins with 40 grit, 110 grit, all the way down to a 800. Now they were straight and polished. The head was painted without tape. Once the paint dried I dabbed a rag corner in Varsol and wiped the fin edges. and Ta Da....you have polished fins with a painted head.

As much as I'd hate to cover up that beautiful chrome plated frame, I like that flat tracker style body work Derek, it'll be a nice change from just another (ho-hum) Cafe Racer! Cheers, Terry.

Funny you should mention that.

That's the main reason I re chromed the frame.
Next year for a winter project I can come up with an alternative seat and tank, that way I have 2 bikes in 1!

I'm not sure how much use the Tracy 2 gallon tank will be. It will be fine around the Island once?

I know mate, I'd love to get my K1 "Kruiser" frame chromed, but I looked at my "pin money" account after buying and importing my K0, and I think I'll have to just settle on chroming the swingarm, ha ha! Looks great Derek!

how much was your frame chroming? i couldn't find anyone down here that would even do it for me without shipping it off to california..

$1250.00 for everything chromed $$$$$$$$$ Had it done in North Vancouver. The plater on Van Island wanted $1250-$1500 for just the frame. That would have put my total bill at over $2200.00 I think they mistook me for a HD owner

I've got to have $10,000+ into it now

This will be my last CB750 build, so I am not being cheap on anything. I think I need to get into something else now that I could sell for a good proffit after all the work.
Not sure what bike brand that is, but I have 4 of these Hondas now.

And it will run even better. A major portion of that $$ was for all the engine rebuild,bore out parts,cams, flywheel, clutch etc, etc................This ones not just a looker

Got a bit of the new loom started yesterday. Can't remember where I got it, but so far everything seems to be hooking up just fine.,
