Hey Derek,glad you got the controls and the throttle cable worked out.
It wasn't that hard........right?

. Imagine the hell I went through doing mine.......also color blind and while I had like 3 different schematics for the Honda.....I could only find a couple of real sketchy ones for the Yami. Glad you're almost done.......took ya long enough!!!!!(thats what happens when you go and build a shop in between a bike project)!!!!!

The controls are nice, but they have been a pain in the ass.!!!!!!!
The brackets for the front turn signals came in today and I had to pull off the headlight to get back at those wires..................a couple of wires for my high beam came loose and I'm lost again

No signal to indicator light.
Have to get my "color" wire helper back again before I button it back up.

Buddy is heading to Victoria tomorrow and will drop off a couple of small bits for the chromer, should be ready to bring back by days end. He's also picking up my polished Lester wheels.

Got to see the polished Lesters today

These wheels were professionally polished by a small home based business in Victoria BC.
They have done work for me as well as another forum member who restores K0's
I highly recommend his work if you want perfection mirror finish.

Rims look great. Gonna paint the spokes or leave them as-is?

BTW I noticed your instruments, I have the same ones on my bike and I found that connecting them together, using a short strap on the inner mounting points, added some stability so they don't bounce/vibrate so much on their mounts. The mounting plates are kinda long and connect to a single point so they're not the most stable things going, not that they're terrible but anyway, hth.

Do you have a target launch date in mind?

I'm going to take them in for black powder coat tomorrow, and then I'm considering having the entire wheel clear powdered to protect the polished parts. I have heard a lot of talk here about the clear powder, but have never seen the results.

? I'm game to have a chat with the business about it.

My first iteration was just a small strap with two holes made from 1/8 mild steel. That eventually got replaced, I used the little chrome strap part off a CB350 that serves the same purpose on that bike, but my instruments are further apart than yours so that wouldn't work for you.

I have been busy on line and in town ordering parts.

Yamaha "widget bracket" to hold throttle cable in place.

All Front and Rear wheel bearings

Nuts for rear wheel sprocket hub

Helusa braided brake lines

Think I might have found a gas cap off a Kawi 175 dirt bike that fits Tracy tank. Wrecker is seeing if he can figure out what it is exactly and see if he can still order one new!
It's not a Harley cap, or ford or what ever. I dragged it around in my truck to a bunch of wreckers and bike shops.

Heading to town to PU wheels from powder coaters tomorrow. While there I ill also be picking up 6 tach cable screws. Thought someone here might need one. I will also have some extra speedo cable screws if any one needs one..

Bolted the fairing back in tonight to check clearance issues for M/C etc and all looks good.

"16" rear wheel from my K8" not going on build.

I'm happy to see anyones photo shop ideas. I still get drawn to a ghost checker idea as seen in the bottom photo on body.

Now that I'm not totally (just partially) #$%* faced I can see the resemblance of a bike there

I need a report and close up pix of those brake lines. I picked up a new front set and the ends are black (bummer).

Why not meet us in Sturgis this year? I have a place to stay in Spearfish about 20 miles away.

I have since removed wheel, re installed it and removed it and installed again. It fits

Drilled out some holes for fiberglass fender today.

Should be rolling on Thursday.

Then I need to get it in my truck "Go to BC Insurance Office" to get it registered here from Orig Nova Scotia ownership. It is still as described on Registration as Red

P.S. Someone asked me to post photo of friends CB-750 chop. I was over there today with camera.

Wheels all finished, tires on. Rolled it outside today. Fiberglass fender was rubbing so bad on tire lip that I gave up on it today. When I'm calmer I will re-visit it.

Yup, just down the road a ways. We have 2 new cranky RCMP here at the moment.
They switch them out every 2 years or so, just as they are making some headway in community trust. They come, they go, they make very little effort to show themselves while here.
Makes no sense to me.

Seaweb, still looking for a cas cap? I was going through my parts last night and found the new cap I bought last fall, it's for my Fibre Mold fiberglass gas tank, looks to me like it might work on your Tracy body? It's an early series honda gas cap (late 60's I think), dunno if you've already looked at these.

I have pics and measurements, plus a part number, that I'll post this evening. Off the top of my head the cap itself is about 2 3/4 inches across, and the center section that goes down into the bung hole is 1 1/2 inches.
