Repainted engine from gas leak yesterday. Reinstalled carbs and got her running today

Actually I took a quick spin up and down the road

No front brakes, and poorly adjusted rear breaks.......No cars or kids around here anyway

Do tears running into your ears describe it OK?

Had the rev-limiter set at 6000 so it went pop, pop, pop, a few times when I got to that point, but bike ran strong. I was concerned the rear sets were to far forward while sitting on it during the build, but they weren't

It was very comfortable. Can't wait to hit 10,000 rpm.

P.S. Speedo says 1 1/2 miles on new meter, can't remember even looking down at it on my passes to see speed...

Are you going to put a front fairing on her,? i think it would look great with a small fairing on her.

Tried youtube, and flicker, but no luck? 111mbs only 40 seconds or so........

P.S. We did get it to a nice idle a few moments later, still a bit of noise from the top end though.

111M is way too large. It's taking me 10 minutes just to download the AVI from your site. You need to reduce the size of the file, try this:

Yup, slow-ass DSL here, been meaning to upgrade for some time now.

Seaweb, the bike sounds great. Top end does sound a bit loud, a bit of clatter at idle. You may have better luck adjusting the valves if you SHUT OFF YOUR FLATSCREEN TV WITH SURROUND SOUND when adjusting the tappets

Seriously though, bike looks and sounds terrific.

Been out tearing around the Island today trying to get some some miles on the new motor.

Very fun!!! Still have the limiter set at 6000, but it is a handful for sure

Got home after my 1st ride and realized why it had been sputtering the last bit...........

Bugs, bugs,....looks like some people were correct, it's not charging after my melted wire issues a few weeks ago. Rectifier I think.

anyways having fun with it, even if I do have to walk home to get the truck from time to time.

Buddy up the road has a rectifier off of a 79DOHC, could it will work?
If not I will need one. I did PM Gordon as he said he had a spare as well.

As for painting..............I'm going to skip it for a while. Very retro now
