I have a 1980 cb650 I use as adventure/street scrambler I am having great difficulty finding a dual purpose tire in 16”. If I could use a 17” rear wheel I could easily find a rear tire. I need to know what wheels will work and if there’s a comstar 17” that would be ideal. Thanks

Quite a lot of late '70's Hondas used a 17" Comstar in the back. The CB750 Hondamatic for example. If you can find one of those it should bolt up, although you will probably need to make spacers to get it to work right.

Get it with the brake and cush drive to simplify things. I'd also look at twin cam wheels since your 650 ventured into that era. Drum rear correct?

For an adventure/scrambler build I would actually try and source a complete set from a 76-77 750A, which used spoked wheels with aluminum rims. These would look much more correct with this kind of build and weigh a fair bit less than a Comstar.
