starter bearing
« on: July 17, 2019, 05:10:47 AM »
I am fixing up a 75 cb360T and the starter motor is missing the bearing that goes in the cap for the armature.  I have a 73 cb350f scrap motor that is taking up space on my floor with a good starter in it.  Will the two have the same size bearing in the cap so I can use it?
thanks

Very good question that i doubt anybody has thought of. You will have to measure them and see
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

The answer is yes.  A little heat and gravity/smacking and the bearing dropped right out and into the 360 housing.
