Ive  used  automotive low resistance (msd accel, morose ), wires on all my multi cylinder bikes for years. Nice blue fire at plug, never a problem. Always try to match color of wire with bike color, 25-30 years ago, these were the only option? That ngk wire looks and specs good, but as far as performance ? Who knows?

I just got this 50' roll of copper core wire and the whole roll only measures 0.2 ohms.

Admittedly with a cheap ohmmeter, two different ones gave the same reading.

I have silicone rubber wires and caps on mine and I like them. They seem to live forever. Make sure you route them correctly by using the clamps on your bike. Where the OEM wires are pretty stiff, the silicone ones are supple and so could move easily in the riding wind when not fastened correctly. That 'super low resistance' is irrelevant. Conventional wires show no resistance much to speak of. There are resistor wires for cars on the market. Stay away from them as from graphite core wires.

I think the entire cable with plug cap is low ohm. Not cap with 5 kohms as the often used NGK.
This NGK Power cable might be something with R plugs, or?

What I've seen often, is that whenever a trivial electronic component (IMO at least) like a resistor is in play, people tend to attribute special properties to it. Untill proven, I'm not of that school. Notwithstanding my doubts, I did a serious investigation and contacted no less than three parties in the professional field. Alas, all my attempts stranded. BTW, just the other day I renewed my attempt. Pewe, are you sure the advertisement is genuine NGK? I know NGK as a thorough and reliable company and, quite frankly, I don't recognise the add and all that boasting as such. I could be wrong but normally NGK gives information without much ado about super this and super that. Also I wonder what the difference is with the NGK products that mailorder company Louis has had on sale for many, many years now. Probably same stuff.

I used low ohm silicone caps in the 80's. Mostly with NGK DR8EA. Worked fine with stock coils and points.

I suppose stupid question - is it possible to replace HT cables on stock coils? I had feeling they are fixed to coils without possibility to be replaced. My question is for 750 K7 and 550 K1

I changed mine on the CB750 K6. Cut the stock wires 1" from the coils crimped a new red nice cable with correct tooling, isolate with shrink hose, all free parts at my job back then. Worked fine for several years.

Another method to replace the wires is to cut the body of the coil where the wire exits to access where it terminates to the coil and cut out the wire. Solder new copper core wire in place and epoxy the new wire in place then RTV over the wire end and epoxy-d wire to ensure water tight seal.

HondaMan had referenced a new set of aftermarket 5 ohm coils that sell for around $80 for the pair if I remember correctly. I don't recall the vendor offhand.

He recently mentioned them again in a thread about a 550 charging problems and they were trying to use 3 ohm coils and dyna s.
Both will not work well on a 550 in his opinion which I believe...
