John Hinckley does not count, only Americans who are to stupid to think of an original name for their spawn call their kid junior >:(
"Well, I've been to one world fair, a picnic, and a rodeo, and that's the stupidest thing I ever heard come over a set of earphones. You sure you got today's codes?"

Oh, and it should be "...Americans who are too stupid..."  ;)

"The reason you know them by their full names is because the press always used their full names in any feature, I bet Mrs Oswald only called her husband Lee. By the way. John Hinckley does not count, only Americans who are to stupid to think of an original name for their spawn call their kid junior"

Here in the South, this is asked with the right eye closed a little and the head is pointing about 20 degrees away from you as the eyes look right at you;
'You ain't from around here, ahr yoo."
It's not a question...
If Mrs Oswald lived down here, you can bet she called Lee Harvey to dinner.  At least half the boys here (and a quarter of the men) are known as "Junior".
And here's a strage little secret- many of the guys you see in coveralls driving an old pick-up have enough money in their pocket to buy the house you live in.  I mean pay cash now.

The guys with the funny accents in the overalls driving pick ups also have a three quarter million dollar combine harvester or 2 in their barn that costs more than their house.  On the 500 acres of land that would sell for $10,000 an acre.

And I do have to say, "Junior" in the south is kind of a mark of honor...  Fathers name their firstborn sons Junior.  Gives you a sense of heritage that is lacking in much of the rest of the country.

I'm named for my father, who is named for his father, who was named for his father. Yes, I'm the fourth. I have several friends who are either a Junior, or their son's a Junior. None of these people are stupid.

We have a customer that fits that bill. His name is Skeeter. Seriously. He owns the majority of 3 counties. He's also one of the nicest guys you can imagine. 8) Just don't pi$$ him off.  ;)

That's not just a southern thing, or even solely an American thing though ;)

In my part of England we have a saying: "A farmer will park £150,000 worth of machinery across the entrance to a field because they are too poor to buy a new gate"

One farmer of my acquaintance never leaves home with less than £2000 in his wallet :o Just in case he 'see's something worh buying' ;D

How would you like to go home and tell your dad you just got your a$$ kick by some guy named Junior?
The thing about common sense is that, it's not that common.
