Having an alternator rotor issue which I think I figured out.will update this weekend.thanks mike

Got it fixed,I bought a known 954 rotor off ebay and sure enough it fit.the cover bolts up and all is well.somehow,somewhere someone installed the wrong rotor on this engine.
